SAN DIEGO — Buddhist Temple of San Diego, 2929 Market St. in San Diego, will hold its Obon Festival on Saturday, Aug. 2.
Participants will joyfully celebrate and remember the lives of family members, friends and temple members who have passed before them, and reflect on the teachings of the Buddha.
Food sales, exhibits and crafts will begin at 4 p.m., and dancing at 6:30 p.m.
Be sure to bring your family and friends. This is an event for both the young and young at heart. Once the dancing begins, do not hesitate to join in. Dance instructors will be positioned at the inner circle for those who do not know the dances.
