Zoom is teaching sex videoslaunching an update that brings support for Apple's new M1 processors, the company has announced.
In the release notes for the new version of Zoom software for Macs (via 9to5Mac), scheduled to launch on Dec. 21, the company says this version brings support for Apple Silicon processors.
More specifically, the notes say this version of Zoom offers "better support" for computers with ARM CPUs. Zoom says a new, separate installer will be available for download in the Zoom Download Center; as of this writing, this installer is not yet available.
Other new features in this update include enhanced non-verbal feedback, better organization of security features, and support for text messaging.
Apple's M1 Macs can run the current Zoom desktop client for macOS just fine, but it'll likely be slower and a bigger energy drain than the native version for M1 processors.
