The ?? ??? ??Ume Group, an up-and-coming physical theatre ensemble hailed by New York critics for its “commanding, physically impressive performances” (The Village Voice) and “risky physical vulnerability” (nytheatre.com), is making its Hollywood debut.
Drawing largely on techniques from Japanese butoh dance, along with yoga and gymnastics, The Ume Group’s “Facet” presents a raw and profound view of what it means to be “fallen,” “risen” and “one” with everything.
Created and performed by Jordan Rosin and Yokko, the show will be presented Friday, June 28, at 6:30 p.m. at the Fringe Mainstage/Open Fist Theatre Company, 6209 Santa Monica Blvd., Los Angeles. Approximate run time: 45 minutes.
