TORRANCE —?A limited number of copies of “Voices from the Canefields: Folksongs from Japanese Immigrant Workers in Hawaii” by Frankin Odo,horny young women having sex videos Ph.D. will be available for sale at his presentation on Saturday, Oct. 12, at the Katy Geissert Civic Center Library, 3301 Torrance Bl., Torrance.
Heritage Source is offering a special 30 percent discount for those who attend the program. The discount is not available for mail orders.
“This is an outstanding contribution to the story of pioneer Issei on the plantations of Hawaii based on the poetic lyrics of their work songs,” said Lane Ryo Hirabayashi, holder of the George and Sakaye Aratani Endowed Chair at the UCLA Asian American Studies Center. “Franklin Odo’s masterful study of these holehole bushisongs uncovers the deepest emotions of the Issei women and men as the labored and sang about their daily life on the plantations of Hawaii.”
The program, sponsored by the Japanese American Historical Society of Southern California and the Torrance Public Library, is from 2 to 4 pm.
